Thank you, msbonne - your sacrifice (and potential incarceration) are appreciated. I am grateful when others step up selflessly, handle any time-consuming and costly legal matters. It frees me for more pressing duties... I gotta flea-dip the dog... rotate my tires... feed my sea monkeys... so... uh, thanks. I will send you candy bars and cigarettes...

msbonne

As for the legal fees, I told Gil to do it pro bono. He will of course charge me, I won't pay, and he can take me to court. But mpps case will be handled.

MartinFields

Actually when they were here in 2014 I met them all and they are a nice bunch of guys though Charlie doesn't talk much :( still when you're that good, you let the sticks do the talking.

They won't consider another tour until you apologize - to all of us - for bringing in the Spice Girls. Really, we have standards...

They're rich enough - shouldn't they have people on staff for spare parts?

MartinFields

Yes :) but what i want what i really really want ;) Is will they tour Australia again :)

nanab

I just thought Mick was looking a little jagged, that's all.

MartinFields

Hmm Mick's looking a bit wasted but "Keef" is still the good looking youthful guy he always was ;) who said coconuts aren't good for ya :D

Did I screw up a good thing? I was planning on spending my new found wealth on scuba gear to search for Aquaman. I'd better call the realtor - had our island picked out and everything... there goes the weekend.

I'm unclear why suddenly people are giving me cash, but thanks! Really, THANKS!! If Bubble thinks I'm holding a mullet contest and is using the money for that... uh... sure. One mullet-contest comin' up... wink, wink.

I've made a large donation and Rudy has not only agreed to match it he has rounded up his flock of feathered followers and they have all donated too.
Nice job getting this fund set-up TIM. Best of luck mpp, I'll be rooting for you.

This man did not do well in my class - in training, while poking alligators in their eyes, he forgot to say "woo-woo-woo"...

@morepiecesplz (dba mpp), after reading of your rather 'vague' description of your "very long, disappointing, maddening morning", I was finally able to put the pieces together and can only hope the alligator has not lawyered up and it is not threatening to sue you for his loss of eyesight.... I read that a 61 year old Florida man was walking his dog (a golden retriever named Rex*) when the man noticed an alligator approaching. The man told his dog to go home, which it did, but the man was attacked when the alligator grabbed the back of the man's leg. Quickly using the training he had received at mpp's "Curly, Larry, and Moe's School of Self-Defense", the man poked his fingers into both of the alligator's eyes, the alligator released the Florida man and the alligator turned, tripped over two poodle "eye" witnesses and stumbled back into the swamp. The Florida man received 60 stitches in the back of his leg and 5 stitches to his hand (apparently an alligator has teeth in it's eyelids as well in his mouth). In the lawsuit filed by the alligator, who refused to be interviewed, it states it is now permanently disfigured and is awaiting an eye transplant. mpp, I am sorry you have been subjected to this mental anguish, but I am contacting your closest friends , @msbonne @nanab @Watchman @Ianto @Juba1010 @jimez @Janie_Janie @Bubble @djp @RebeccaB @whome23 and anyone else commenting on this puzzle and we will begin raising funds to cover you legal fees. I hope this news brightens your day and you make a quick recovery (i.e. we miss you)

* - thanks to the quick action of this Golden Retriever (turning and running away with it's tail between it's legs), Golden Retrievers moved up one notch on the list of "Smartest Dog Breeds", passing the Rottweiler (which hasn't been heard from since playing 'chicken' with a city bus)

mpp.... you have been noticably quiet the last 24 hours. I know you are too strong to let Count Dravale20 upset you, and it looks like the misguided Count took my advice and returned to Transylvania. Or maybe he was put onto a catapult and sent home. Ya gotta remember, he's a stones fan so he is probably a few wrinkles short of having a full brain. Hope all is well... I'm about 3 chuckles short this morning so I thought I should make sure you didn't get arrested for outstanding parking tickets. Hey! What a great idea! Anyone wanna go parking with me? I just put on some new Depends...

rswestley

I must admit I was a big fan of the 'early' Stones and when "Their Satanic Majesties Request" was released in late '67, it quickly became my favorite backdrop to many drunken stupors. But when I sobered up in '69, the Stones had taken a different path and I became prudish... the early stages of invisibilityism. But while institutionalized I read "The Path to Annoyance", written by the U.S. congress and it saved me from being likable and.... well, here I am.

How about one way mirrors John ? Was Liebig the owner of a crazy house at the fair which prompted him to develop all the crazy mirrors ?

I mentioned to the manager of our big superstore that all the full length mirrors in the clothing areas were skewed in such a way that one looks 3 sizes smaller. Very nice to see, until you try on a size 7 dress instead of a 10 ! ♪♥♥♫

rswestley

Back to a more serious comment about this puzzle....

I have a new twist on celebrating a birthday. Every year on May 12th, we should celebrate that German born scientist Justus Freiherr von Liebig WAS NOT born before May 12th, 1803. I'm sure all of you will remember Justus Freiherr von Liebig was the egomaniacal scientist that developed a process for applying a thin layer of metallic silver to one side of a pane of clear glass... thus making the first mirror. What's the big deal, you ask? Well, the big deal is what if Neanderthal Man, Cro-Magnon Man or Three Toed Sloth Man had looked in a mirror 35,000 or 40,000 years ago? Would we, the "modern" Homo sapiens, be sipping Starbuck's Pumpkin Spice Latte's? Or carving Spam in the shape of Windsor Castle? No!! If Neanderthal Man, Cro-Magnon Man or Three Toed Sloth Man had looked in a mirror and saw their reflections, the threesome would have opted for voluntary extinction... and all of us, those with tribal armband tattoos and the Kardashian fans, would not exist today. You, me and every other so called human would be nothing more than sedimentary rocks resting on an ocean floor.

I say all that to say this. Just because Keith Richards and Mick Jagger looks like an appendectomy gone bad, we shouldn't be critical of their physical appearance. Who knows.... maybe someday you or I may be 153 years old also

Bubble

We had rain the day before yesterday but not enough to alter the smoke.

Victoria has it much worse and apparently minutes outside = cigarette inhalation, ie
outside for 12 minutes is the equivalent of smoking 12 ciggies, sounds unbelievable but thats what I heard one of our health experts say last night. ♪♥♥♫

That's the thing about the ravages of time... and the ravages of a lifetime of excess. Brian Jones died quite young - who knows what he would have looked like if he'd stayed with the band? Keith Richards was very cute as a young man. Mick Jagger wasn't handsome, but in some early pictures he' absolutely angelic. Well see who looks good when we have our 20 year reunion, deal?
