We, too, have only black bears here in northeastern Pennsylvania but they are all black. I've never seen a brown, black bear. Thanks for straightening me out. :-)
Gayle, all we have here in Nevada is black bears... I guess I should have stated that in the title. I seems we always get more brown "Black" bears than black.
Even though the cub is brown, I'm going to guess it's a black bear because the ears are up. On second thought, maybe it's a grizzly because the nose is so pronounced. What do you think it is, Ernie? Thanks!
