Why are you reporting this puzzle?

It was actually 5 months yesterday that I quit smoking after 50+ years!! I guess a heart attack had its silver lining!! I barely even notice anymore.

I sure hope so!

Jumble

That will certainly help Joe.

wjl1015

Yeah Izzy, I have to try and be more active!! Hopefully the ablation will help with the activity issue. That happens on 10/6!

Jumble

It has been a habit of many years Joe, so it's only natural to think that. Just be careful to watch your weight now.

wjl1015

Thank you all!! I still get the occasional cravings and when I leave the house I sometimes feel like I'm forgetting something (cigarettes & lighter).

julie88

You go Joe! julie.

cevas

Congratulations Joe. That's great !!

wjl1015

Yes I think it was.

PutterDutt

Maybe that first week was a blessing in disguise.

wjl1015

Thank you all!! They say the first week is the hardest, well I spent that first week in the hospital recovering from a heart attack. They had to perform CPR and broke three of my ribs in the process! All I wanted was morphine to ease the pain, didn't hardly miss smoking....

gogogo

Congratulations, Joe - well done!

julie88

Congratulations! You will notice even less as time goes by.
It's one of the best things you will ever do for yourself
and those little ones. julie

Congratulations, Joe! Good decision! We quit 12 years ago in May. I rarely even think about it now.

togocat

I woke up wanting a cigarette a few weeks ago, and then I wondered where the hell did that come from? I had a hard time quitting but haven't had one in 25 years. So yeah, you'll notice occasionally. But it won't last and 99% of the time you'll be so glad - and proud - that you quit. Good work!

JayneH

Great decision, Joe! One you'll always be proud of and never forget! I don't recall the year (!!) but Oct 16 is my annual celebration day. I know I've been celebrating on that date for at least 8 years, tho! :-))

PutterDutt

Oh GOOD FOR YOU, Joe!!!

Jumble

Well done Joe, keep up the good work. ♥

bevpuzzler8

Good on you Joe. Keep up the good work. It is a tough test.!!

racoonstar

Congratulations! I quit years ago and it was one of the hardest things I've ever done.

Isaly2

Congratulations Joe. I think the first week of stopping smoking is the worst. If you can make that long you've got it made. The middle of November will be seven years since I quit.....

Happy days Joe from a non smoker what do I know ?

pasta

Good for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

linda1802

Congrats, Joe. You'll probably continue to notice the lack of those ciggies for a while yet, but it'll be bearable and it's great that you're in control again. I'm now on year six since quitting. Never looked back. Stay strong.

Congrats! It's been 10 years for me and it gets easier. You have to want it. My Mom couldn't quit and it killed her. Keep up the good work.
