And since then, this historical city has been under many different rulings. Today and since 1945, Colmar has been part of France.
If you’re ever lucky enough to visit this beautiful city, you’ll find a remarkably well-kept old town with many architectural landmarks and museums. It even houses a 12-meter high replica of the Statue of Liberty as it was designed by a local – namely sculptor Auguste Batholdi.
