The supercharged 4.5-Litre "Blower" Bentley was not a favorite of W. O. Bentley. He did not approve of it, much preferring the works 3-Litre cars. Nevertheless, the car has entered automotive legend and is highly valued today. Imposing and powerful, no less a personality than Ettore Bugatti, on viewing them in action at LeMans, said that they were "The fastest trucks I have ever seen."
