A carefree time.

Indeed they are. A much simpler time in our world.

Those are nice memories, aren't they? ♥

LOL Jaklien, how I treasured those little ribbons! They were lost when marriage, military orders, a baby and such things came along. (Horse went to a good and kind home.)

Oh dear Carol, you're obviously a connoisseur. Both gentlemen are well in the saddle, they were also very talkative and funny.
I wish you a big congratulations on your results in your youth, not everyone can say this, huh?

My OLD "horsey" self kicked in........these gentlemen are "horsemen". They have what we call a good "seat". Body erect, feet positioned correctly, not nervousness and therefore not transferring it to their horses......gentle reins, in control but relaxed. Oh I go Jaklien.......many, oh so MANY, years ago I competed in barrel racing, trail and pleasure horse events. Never won any championships but brought a few smaller prizes home!

Well said Janet ♥

Mother, that's what I thought!

Now I know where the fountain of youth really is! Love of a good horse, Love of a horseman for his horse, and the Love of sharing your time together! You look so happy! Don't stop riding until it hurts more than you enjoy it! Bless you,

Good for you Horseman! If you can still ride horses you're likely healthy enough to live another 20 years. (:- )
