Thank you Juba.

Juba1010

Thanks Izzy. I hope the weather is kinder to you as well.

Jumble

I understand now, I have seen the fires in the Yosemite National Park on the news devastating. In that case I hope you get plenty of rain or snow, that is comfortable for you Juba..

Juba1010

I’m in the Sierra Nevada mountains of Northern California, closer to Lake Tahoe.

Jumble

So are you near Las Vegas then Juba?

Juba1010

The skiers will be happy and the snow pack is a huge part of California’s water resources.

Jumble

That's good then Juba, hopefully more to come, rain would be better, it's a shame Ianto can't send some of his over to you. 🌧 🌧⛈

Juba1010

Thanks Izzy. We need the snow here. California is in a drought. We had 4 inches overnight and more to come. ☃️

Thanks, so far so good, I do have overcast skies.

Jumble

Let's hope. Fingers crossed for you.

Nope it won't. I have rain clouds overhead already. A grey day. But it might not be as bad as they first said.

Jumble

I hope the rain misses you completely Ianto. :o)

They change the time for the rain here, It might not start until noon.

Jumble

I hope the snow misses you Juba, and if it doesn't, I hope it melts the same day. Take care.

Juba1010

We are supposed to get about 4 inches of snow tomorrow. Maybe the jet is changing. We haven’t had anything for the last month and a half. Usually the east coast is warmer when the west coast is cold.

So do I, flooding can do as much damage as wind. At least it will be warmer, so no snow.

Jumble

Thanks BB, I'll try, but I think she might try and eat the book. I wipe her feet with a towel after she has done a few circuits of the garden, she takes it away from me and shakes it. :o))

nanab

Oh NO not another storm Izzy!
You are wise to stay inside, read Coco a book by the fire. : )

Jumble

If you get rain, I hope it doesn't cause any flooding Ianto.

Jumble

WOW Globetrotter, you have had it really bad up North, I feel for you. Yes, I'm with you
wishing the jetstream would move on. Stay safe.

Rockville Maryland, it is a suburb of DC

globetrotter14

Had sleet on Saturday then the sun came out in the afternoon which was better than the forecast. Stormy again last night (woke me up a couple of times) but seems to be a bit better now. The jet stream is very active at the moment apparently which is causing all this. Wish it would calm down!

Jumble

Coco loves frosty morning, she would love snow, but we haven't seen any here in the South for years Morris, so good luck with that lot.
I do look forward to seeing the pictures though.

Jumble

Thank you. Whereabouts in the world are you Ianto?

morris186

Yes, stay inside, Izzy and Coco!!!
We are supposed to get a bucnch of snow over the next couple of days ....

Coco did have to go, but be careful later on.
You are welcome.

I might be getting rain starting tomorrow, all week.

Jumble

I will try Ianto, but Coco just pestered me, and I caved. It is supposed to get worse later, so matter how much Coco begs, we are not going out again. Thank you Ianto. ♥

Izzy, you and Coco please just stay inside.

Jumble

We now have storm Franklin, the gusts of wind are so strong, their frightening. I just took Coco for a walk and it nearly blew me off my feet, no walks in the park today, too many trees. Luckily so far we have no rain with it.

CJ45

We still have the strong winds yesterday evening we had so much rain it looked like fog you could not see through it.

Jumble

Thank you for your comments Alias, I hope that poor woman held onto that pram, and got home safely.

They showed some on the news now. I woman struggling to hold on to the pram.

Strong forces.

Jumble

Thank you Judy, so far I am one of the lucky ones, touch wood, no damage here so far.

jals

Also, I hope any of the rest of you with this weather are kept safe and minimal damage.

jals

Oh my, Irene! I hope your place doesn't get any damage and that you safely make it through this storm. That is awful!

Juba1010

Spring has been stuck over California for the last month and one half. Our weather is supposed to change next week. Maybe everyone else will finally get a break.

Jumble

I can agree with CNN on that one. Now the storm it going up the country. This weekend we have more winds with rain and a possibility of flooding. Where is Spring.

My friend in Beeston was complaining about the wind as well.

Surreal_Heidi

I saw on CNN that Great Britain is having the worst winds in 3 decades.

Jumble

I think it was too.

Maybe that was for the best then.

Jumble

You certainly have Clive, I told you I want you as my neighbour, when are you moving? LOL.

CJ45

Sadly we still have the high winds and heavy rain most of my garden fences are down but can be replaced time now 7pm. Have been in touch with Izzy this afternoon.

Jumble

Thanks Morris.

Jumble

Funerals were cancelled here today Ianto.

Jumble

Good luck with your TV aerial Nicco, put some ear plugs in when you go to bed tonight.
Yes I have never known a storm like this to be so wide spread as this one is.

morris186

Stay safe!!!

I live near a cemetery, and with the leaves down I can see into it. Sadly there is a funeral going on right now.

The TV aerial can be fixed.

niccolino59

Yes, it looks like a flat roof from another building has been picked up by the wind & flown across & hit this one. How terrifying. It's been fairly scary here (Bucks, Eng, UK). But we only lost our tv aerial (it's hanging by its wire & banging against the side of the house - hope it doesn't keep us awake tonight but have heard we're due a frost - crazy weather we're having atm). A garden side fence is hanging on - husband went out & propped it. And a big tub of large heavy stones got blown off our outside table so the power it must've taken to do that was amazing. So, certainly not as bad as some poor people have had to cope with. If we survive with electricity still on we will be grateful. Here's a link to photographs on the BBC News website...

Jumble

I have taken a closer look at it, and it looks like it's the house next door as the article says it's destroyed the chimney too, and there is debris on the roof.

SailorSam

I think that has blown from another flat roof property - it's not part of that house
https://twitter.com/jonoread/status/1494373898724515846 for the flying wheelie bin

Jumble

Yes I know you have had quite a few storms up North GT. Storm Eunice is a Red Alert warning which is quite rare thank goodness, I certainly wouldn't wish this on anyone.

Jumble

That crossed my mind too my Lord, I can only think, they must be full and weighty.

globetrotter14

Oh no! It is very windy up here at the moment but not quite as bad as it has been in the south. Was worried about roof damage, fingers crossed

starlord

You know what puzzles me?
The heavy roof is gone, but the plastic bins are still standing in line

starlord

That is bad... Eunice is here now, heavy wind whistling around the block.
It's worse by the seaside, good thing that's far from here

That is good, no one hurt.

Jumble

I hope so to BB.

Jumble

Thank you Juba, that is handy to know, duly noted, hopefully never to be needed.

Jumble

It is so scary, but so far everyone I know is fine thank Ianto.
The Isle of Wight, which is 20 minutes on the Redjet from me, had winds of 122 miles an hour, the highest on record.

nanab

Oh my, what a scary experience that must have been, hope all are safe and sound.

Juba1010

That’s scary, Izzy. The insurance and the fire department would be the people to call here. Stay safe.

This is scary, big time scary. Is everyone alright?

Jumble

Heidi, I hate the wind at the best of times, but this is so terrifying, there are 100 year old trees coming down. All schools are closed, people have been advised stay at home. I feel so sorry for the people that live there, I wouldn't have a clue who to phone.

Surreal_Heidi

Our winds were bad last night, but not this bad. YIKES!
