Heicel

Thanks for your good wishes - I wish the same to you with all my heart❣️
Sometimes, when life decides to shatter one's whole world, there are too many other puzzles to solve and not enough strength left for fun. But I miss you all and will stop by whenever I can.
Take care - you're precious to me!

Hi Heicel - nice to see you! Did you have a nice holiday - you had gone away and haven't heard from you since.
Glad you enjoyed my Agave puzzle - it was a very special one. :-)
Happy New Year :-)

So simple - and so beautiful. This green-and-white design is a favorite of MOther Nature and, I think, rightfully so.
Thanks for a joy to look at!

I do not think I have ever tasted Tequila but I can tell the difference between different whiskeys :-) also wines ;-)
Yes Dave advertising influence works with many people - even price like Faye mentioned - if it's expensive they think it's very good!!! Seasons greeting to you both :-))

We have sipped scotch that cost $1500/bottle...and that was 20 years ago...not any better than one 1/15 the price.

Feliz Navidad!

Years ago I learned that I like Tequila, but it doesn't like me (the next day)! Kind of like beer - they all taste good and it is more personal choice (or advertising influence). I have had Mezcal, but it didn't seem very different from "regular" Tequila, to me.

Is there a "best" taste to tequila? LOL

alliebono

Yes, it's got long leaves and called Agave Tequilana. I checked it out yesterday evening :-)
There are 270 species of Agave!! I have a few of them in my garden - lucky you to have one in yours - grew from seed!!!
Your side note was interesting - new to me thanks! :-) Had never heard of Mezcal - which tastes the best Dave? I presume that you have tasted them? Happy Christmas :-)

djp

There are different varieties of Agave I believe, and I am not smart enough to know the difference. I have a rogue one growing in my front yard (just came out of the ground one day long ago). The ones I have seen (on TV) being trimmed for Tequila production look more like a pineapple to me.

Side note: Used to be (still is?) to be labeled "Tequila" it must be made in the tequila region of Mexico, outside of there it is called Mezcal.

alliebono

Is this the plant they do Tequila with Dave? Thought it was a larger type of Agave. Happy Christmas :-) x

Faye and Janet ... it was a very special one - I was very impressed :-) Big hugs and kisses to you both xx
