HI PAMMI, SO NICE OF YOU TO WRIGHT ME BACK. THE WEATHER IS IN THE 50s HERE THAT MEANES THAT WE WILL PROBABLY HAVE LOTS OF SNOWWW COLD, AND BLOWING WE GET UP TO 3 PLUS FEET OF SNOW UCK I HATE SNOW. I LIKE TO GARDEN LOOKS LIKE I MIGHT HAVE ANOTHER YEAR TO GARDEN, THEY THINK I AM GOING IN REMISSION I HAVE OVARIAN CANCER,BUT THE LORD HEALED ME ,OR THE NEW MEDS THEY PUT ME ON HAS WORKED 5 MONTHS AGO MY ONE DOCTOR SAID I HAD 3 TO 5 MO TO LIVE NOW ITS NO SIGN OF IT STILL THERE. Mijn gasfornuis staat om het hoekje in de keuken. Niet meteen zichtbaar. Hij is wit geëmailleerd, daar zie je dus ook alles op. Nou kook ik niet 'messy' maar die maak ik inderdaad ook na iedere kookbeurt even schoon☺☺

Nou vooruit dan maar☺☺☺ dat is ook eigenlijk HET belangrijkste in huis dat schoon zou moeten zijn (bij mij ook) maar ook mijn roestvrij stalen gasfornuis wil ik altijd (na ieder gebruik) spic en span hebben, het is uiteindelijk ook een blikvanger bij binnenkomst!☺☺

Maak ik het weer een beetje goed als ik zeg dat ik m'n sanitair wèl iedere dag bijhoud en dat ik een mooi glimmend wc-tje heb???☺

Dat valt me nou toch een beetje tegen van je schutkleur☺☺☺☺ Maar je hebt gelijk je moet die oude stofzuigers van hun rust laten genieten en niet over hun toeren laten werken, raa worden ze alleen maar chagrijnig van...☺☺☺

HÀ!!!!! Jij denkt dat ik iedere dag met een stoffer rondloop??? Mooi niet.
Ik woon alleen, het wordt niet zo héél snel stoffig. Mijn eethoektafel is altijd afgedekt met en kleed. Die gebruik ik alleen om af en toe iets aan te schrijven. Eten doe ik op de bank☺. Verder zijn alle oppervlakken wit, het stof valt dus niet meteen op☺☺♥
Mijn stofzuiger is al heel erg oud en heeft z'n rust verdiend. Hij zou maar schrikken als ik 'm iedere dag uit de kast zou halen. Hij moppert al bij eens per week, dus laat ik hem af en toe maar gewoon wat langer met rust☺☺☺

Yes, I agree they are quite ugly on the roof, Impie. However, as houses here tend not to have as steeply a pitched roof that is more common in England and Europe, in some cases it is easier to disguise them. Thanks for the info on how the rebate works and from what I've been told, I think that is how it works here also. How very nice that your rent was not increased and you now have a much more user friendly home. Win win situation. ♥♥

Blij dat je het je weer gaat lukken om vòòr Kerst je kaarten klaar te krijgen schutkleur. Ik weet zeker dat ze met plezier zullen worden ontvangen! ☺♥
Ik heb op mijn dressoir een loper liggen waar verlichte kerstdorpjes op staan....scheelt afstoffen tot na de Kerst....op de salontafel een brede rode kerstloper....alleen afstoffen langs de randjes...op de eettafel een kleed met kerststuk....gaat er met avondeten af en na het eten er weer op....hoeft dus ook even niet te worden afgestoft. Ik geniet van de kersttijd...alleen zo nu en dan stofzuigen en elke dag even met de swiffer over het laminaat. Na de Kerst wordt alles weer opgeruimd en afgestoft en de kamer weer als vanouds gemaakt, zodat ik wel schoon het nieuwe jaar in ga! Misschien een tip???☺♥

Hi Pammi, I will know in May when we have to fill in the numbers of the electrics and gas for the annual bill, then I'll know whether we used less than the year before! If so I'll get some money back!
Here solar panels are also popular. I don't have them but many in our neighbourhood do. Our landlord offered them 2 years ago, for 3 panels the rent went up with € 12,50 per month, for 6 panels € 17,50 and for 9 panels € 22,50 per month. The Landlord will stay owner of the panels!! For the double glazing and all that's been done now they didn't charge extra rent!!

I think I get a (small) picture of how it works....the wires of solar panels on the roof are connected to a special metre indoors. Solar energy flows back to this metre and what's not used flows back to the electricity company. They sort of buy it back from you!
We did some counting...if I should've taken f.i. 6 panels that would cost € 210,00 per year extra rent...taking in account what our annual energy costs it would've probably saved € 10,00 on a yearly basis....I think it's not worth having those ugly things on my roof! ☺☺

Hi Impie. Well, all in all, it sounds like the disruption you had to endure has really paid off. I can imagine how strange it feels to have cold radiators but it makes for a pleasant change to get money back on anything these days. What is becoming more and more popular here is having solar panels on the roof. After all, we do get an inordinate amount of sunshine so it really is power from the sun. I know that people who do this get money back from the electricity companies but I'm not at all sure how it works. ☻☺☻

'k Zou wel willen maar ik weet niet of ik de tijd er wel voor krijg.
't Schilderwerk is af. De achterkant (de titel zeg maar, in kleine lettertjes, onderaan) is op alle kaarten geprint. Gisteren de kerstwens in de binnenkant van de kaarten geprint, moet nu goed drogen. Hoop dat 't morgen droog genoeg is om de afbeeldingen te kunnen printen. Ben niet blij met het onderwerp dat ik gekozen heb, maar kan dat niet meer veranderen en stuur ze toch maar.
Nu het schilderwerk af is moet ik eindelijk weer eens voor m'n huis gaan zorgen. Vanmiddag de buitenboel gedaan. Kon lètterlijk niet meer door m'n ramen kijken. Maar de binnenkant van het huis moet ook schoon voor de Kerst. En ik heb nog afspraken en wil eigenlijk ook nog iets bakken. Dat relaxen zal dus misschien moeten wachten tot nà de Kerst☺♥

Thank you Pammi....Goofie acts as if it's always been like this☺☺ Every now and again he'll stick his head under the tree when he hears a 'bloop' sound from the water in the tree stand, but he's a real good boy about it. I'm so glad the workmen are gone and everything is back to normal. I'm happy with the double glazing and the space under our house been insulated....I have to get used to my radiators feeling cold while the temperature indoors is constantly 20° C.!!! I have to be careful....next year I'll probably get a lot of money back for energy not used but did already pay for in advance! ☺☺☺

Impie, everything is looking beautiful and very Christmassy and Goofie is looking so laid back and relaxed, this is a lovely Christmas scene.......and an added bonus is having all the workmen gone. ♥♥♥
