Why are you reporting this puzzle?

What you see here is the remains of a Clematis bloom. When the Clematis flower is done blooming the petals fall off and leave this stringy thing you are looking at. By the way, when Sue and I went out in the garden today, this Clematis vine was in full bloom. I have also posted a closeup photo of this thing in another puzzle today.

BJEE, I have never seen one of those dogs so I will take your word for it, Terry

It made me smile!

Well Terry, to me, (1st glance) it looks like you took the photo (or at least part of it) looking down, and over the top of the head of a Chinese Crested dog.

Oh WOW!! This is so gorgeous, even without the pedals and it was difficult but a FUN puzzle. Great photo, Terry. I'm now going to do the other one. :-)

It is not easy but is rewarding. I have a Princes Diana Clematis that grows like crazy, every year I deadheaded her, this year I have been neglecting her. I need a ladder and my husband holding it for safety. One of this days hopefully.

WhiskersNFeathers, you can always simply delete what you wrote. I have to do that periodically. Thanks for the tip. We didn't know that. We will give it a try, Terry

WhiskersNFeathers

I wrote without reading! And did you know that if you want your vine to continue flowering you deadhead these right "before" those two leaves. You can leave this but the vine would stop flowering.

WhiskersNFeathers

It is what is left of a Clematis flower when all the petals drop.
