Do you spin the wool from your aunt's sheep yourself? Yes, do be careful when washing. I have done some felted projects. I made felted slippers and 2 felted bags and some Easter things.

The blue colour is merino, one of the softest of sheep wools. This isn't the softest merino I've knit with though. The natural colour is from my aunt's sheep (my mother has posted pics of those sheep under puzzaddled2), they're mostly of Dorset breeding with a mix of other breeds bred in to improve blood lines, etc. As they are meat breeds, the yarn isn't soft but it should be hard wearing. Unlike the blue though, it isn't superwash so it'll felt really easily so I have to be careful when I go to wash & block it.

I love the colors. Your stitches are very nice and even. The yarn looks so soft. What kind is it?

This is going to be very pretty. I hope that you will post a picture of the completed shawl.
