Well, it looks like my van decided to heal itself. I ran 2 errands today (Monday) and it purred like a kitten with no grinding or growling at all. WHEW!!!

I virtually NEVER wear slacks in the show ring, but I tried these on to see if they still fit me before we left and they DID! Amazing! I haven't worn them in 5 or 7 years! Thanks for the comment!

Saturday evening My van started a new kick. When I started it up, it growled at me! And kept it up for the couple of miles I drove to get a meal. (The concession stand at the show site wanted $3.00 for a cup of coffee and $4.00 for a puny hot dog, and I just REFUSED to get gouged like that!!!) I panicked at the noise and called my hubby, who of course couldn't do a thing about it being 4 hours away and at home. When I got back to the show site, it was still growling. The van NEVER leaks or burns oil, but I wound up adding a quart of oil and over half a gallon of water, and some serious petitioning of God to get us home in one piece. I guess He still listens to me, sometimes, because after starting it up this morning to head for home, it was still growling, but after about 20 minutes of driving it settled down and was purring like a kitten all the way home. Thank you, GOD!!!
