Here's hoping you have good weather for your hols - sounds relaxing!! You should take some pics & post them. Hint, hint:)))
Wireless Internet is great - we always use it too when we go away.
I love being near the water too, Rob. Actually I'm about to start a 3 week holiday myself, and will be heading down to Lorne (on the great Ocean Road) on Saturday. I'm mostly going away by myself (never done that before!), but will probably be visited by Duncan, and my two sisters and a girlfriend for some of the time. But top of my shopping list is a prepaid dongle so I can get the internet. Making puzzles is going to be high on my list of things to do. And walks on the beach, and through the bush down there. I can't wait. I really, really need a break. It's been one hell of a year!!
And thanks for the update re Deborah. I hope it is just computer problems, and we see her special brand of zaniness back here soon. :)))
Hi Kirsten! No bets for me - I used to go in a sweep when I worked, but we are both retired now. We've had quite a few Hols around the Pacific Islands & Barrier Reef & always stay right near the reefs for easy access & lots of snorkelling. It's our favourite type of holiday.
Deborah had computer problems early last week - so maybe the gremlins have struck again:((( I also noticed her absence - I miss her crazy sense of fun & her blended puzzles:))) Here's hoping she's back soon!
G'day Rob! I love the anemones too. One of the most amazing things I've ever done was to snorkel the GBR from Port Douglas. It's amazingly beautiful. I'm guessing that you've done that a couple of times, what with it being on your doorstep an' all. Well kinda on your doorstep. Certainly closer than mine. LOL And nope, no flutter for me this year. I'm taking advantage of a day off work and creating my puzzles for the week. And actually solving some, which is a bit exciting for a change!! LOL. What about you? Have you placed a bet? And I love those crazy outfits!
And can I ask you something? Is it normal to not see Deborah for a while? I noticed that she hasn't been on for a couple of days. I only just discovered her kaleidos recently, so I don't know much about her movements.
Morning Kirsten - these are a nice set - I'm rather fond of Anemones, these & the real ones! My other half - Chris - & I have seen lots of the real ones on our numerous reef snorkelling holidays:))) Are you having a little flutter on the Cup? I just love checking out the crazy outfits that some people wear - on TV.
Thanks Barb!! I will. And now I have to go and see what you've posted. Although they will have to temporarily pop into my bookmarks. I'm nodding off at the keyboard here. Must ....................... go ............................ to ........................... bed. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
What a lovely puzzle, Kirsten ... so simple yet so pretty!
Have fun on your day off tomorrow.
Ardy and Gail, I'm sure you'll be glad to see the last of all those election ads after tomorrow!
Here I am again. So you have a holiday to look forward to for tomorrow. That's always exciting. Tomorrow here is election day. It's not a holiday although the public schools are closed since many of them are used as polling places. My school is open which means I get to have a bell choir rehearsal for a change. There have been a lot of Tuesday interruptions this school year. Usually Tuesday is the day with the fewest.
I have my semi-annual furnace inspection this morning. They are supposed to show up between 7:30 and 8. I ask for a "first appointment" time otherwise you wait forever. Maybe if you have a couple of minutes tomorrow you could tell me about moving my world time clock. Maybe?
Have a great night with the best of dreams. Loving hugs winging their way right to you. (((HUGS)))
Ha! We must have the same MO. When I'm working June's large, I often pause and pop back to my puzzles to reply to comments. Great minds..........
And boo, hoo indeed! But in happy news, tomorrow is a public holiday here (for the Melbourne Cup - the race that stops the nation - LITERALLY!!! LOL). So I'll be having a happy Jigidi day, I reckon. YIPPEE!!
I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm over a Catherine's, working a couple of her large puzzles, but I'll check back here a little later. Your weekend's over, boo hoo!
I can! Mind you, I have to travel around 2,000 kilometres to get to the best view of them - in our Great Barrier Reef!! A beautiful coral reef is like being in an underwater garden. The coral, sea weeds and anemones are the plants and flowers, and the fish are like butterflies and birds. It is singularly one of the most fantastic things I have ever done. Sigh.
