Grand Canyon - Nankoweap Trail

After the abrupt drop, the trail resumes a slightly more reasonable descent, although still with areas of concern where hikers should exercise caution. There is a 1/2 mile traverse of Bright Angel shale where the trail is narrow with significant exposure. In many respects this area offers more challenge than the Supai, mostly because of a downward grade and loose material.
