The electrification ended in 1956 when diesels supplanted the Z-1 and Y-1 electric locomotives, and all the catenaries were pulled down. However, that giant substation lasted well into the 1980s before being torn down.


I don't see any overhead wires. I am guessing the electric locos are long gone. Thanks, brokenwing280.
