I took her to a field I hired for an hour. She mooched a lot, posed a bit and had four short sprints; I think she enjoyed herself! ☺

Hello beautiful Elsa and mom too xx how delightful for her and for you to have peace of mind while she has a ball - thx for sharing ♥♥♥ hugs and woofs

goingsilver

Thanks Suzy.
Funny how things work out isn't it? Such is life. ☺

pumpkinhead

Elsa striking the perfect pose!
(A bit of coincidence and a bit of destiny, Faye! )

Who'd have thought jigidi could indirectly assist family research?! It is fascinating to see how widespread a family can be. My sister continues to research our family and we have met some distant Aussie relatives., and although she has tried, she hasn't made contact with the Canadian ones. ☺

I'll let you know...there is so much info...most of the family trees are 20+ pages of small print. Talking about a small world...when Doug was first getting started he sent some info on my maternal grandmother's side of the family. They had sooo many kids in each generation...it turns out a first cousin three times removed emigrated to New York. Of course, I don't know any of them...and I don't know New York...so, I wrote Suzy (pumpkinhead) to ask if she knew where it was. It turns out that Suzy's sister lives in the very town, and only a six minute drive away! Coincidence? Or destiny...that we should become friends on jigidi? :DDD

@gemstone

Oh wow, that is amazing! It is a small world Faye for sure! If you'd like me to do any local 'investigating' let me know. I will happily mooch around old churchyards for instance! ☺

Hi, Lorna...a friend has just completed 10 family trees for me...one goes back to the 1700s with a great great great grandfather...and subsequent descendants living in Stroud! We could have been neighbours in past lives! LOL ;DDD

goingsilver

Thanks Laura. Someone from greyhound rescue referred to them as her 'dancing shoes'!

laurajane

She's a beauty...with little, dainty white socks on.

goingsilver

Many thanks Val. ☺♥

Elsa such a regal pose, Lorna what a good idea to take her somewhere you can relax and enjoy watching a happy dog☺♥

goingsilver

Thank you Pat. ☺

Thanks Ank. Both George and Tana enjoyed this field too. It is great because it is totally secure with high hedges and fences, so even if Elsa goes sprinting away, I know I can't lose her! So I can relax and she can do her own thing. She is great with even really small dogs when she meets them out on our walks, (and she is on the lead) but off lead I'd be too afraid her very strong chase instinct would kick in... ☺

A beautiful photo Lorna and Elsa must have had a lot fun there. For me it sounds rare that you have to hire a field, we have so much space here where dogs can run free, even completely fenced areas special for dogs. Elsa has a good mum, she will be happy that you do this for her. ♥♥♥

pkin38

Elsa you are so pretty ..

goingsilver

Thank you Cathy, but you'll be making me blush! Taking her to the field is a treat for me too - it is a lovely big space , very quiet and I do enjoy seeing her have some freedom off the lead. ☺

Thanks Dave. During strict lockdown especially, she has helped 'care' for me too! ☺

Thank you mother123456. Over the years I have posted a number of photos of Elsa and her predecessors. ☺

I do too Ellen. My last black greyhound Murphy had the most glorious grey spectacles. Elsa's grey is quite widespread now.

Hi Patti! Many thanks. ☺

PLG1958

Hi Elsa! You're a beauty!

PutterDutt

I love the grey on older faces, Lorna. My beloved Putter had a naturally BLACK muzzle all his life and he got dumped twice in Veterans by a judge who refused to believe that I wasn't chalking him!

Thanks for posting your lovely dog for us!

warbler

She looks great! Well cared for and happy to be out.

cevas

Elsa, you're lovely ! Yes, I agree with Faye. Lorna, you went the extra mile to make sure your little friend had a good day. You are lovely too! ❤ ❤

goingsilver

Thanks Ellen. She is 7, though actually much closer to her 8th birthday than her 7th!

PutterDutt

Sounds like a perfect day for a Greyhound! How old is she?

goingsilver

Thank you Bekkabee. I think she is a bit special! ☺

Bekkabee
