The fox is well fed, I do not think it will be forced to eat any squirrels.

Squirrels sleep up high where nocturnal foxes can't reach them. The only way a fox can get a squirrel is to either get really lucky or find one that is sick or injured.

Even though the rabbit would be a major fox feast, probably 95% of the foxes diet consists of mice, rats and voles.

There are rats and mice that cut through my yard at night to get to the bird feeder next door. Funny thing is, since the fox has been hunting here I have not see any rodents on the Critter Cam.
