It sounds like great memories of the old barn. Lots of memories of the wonderful scents and sounds associated with such a barn. Animals chewing on freshly dropped hay, snorts and moos! :) And the smell of freshly stored hay and straw! It puts a smile on my face. :) Mike48 12 October 2017 This looks a lot like the bank barn my family in Pennsylvania lost in 1968 to fire. Livestock (horses and cows) in the bottom; hay and straw in the top. Built into a hill (bank), a ramp provided access to the threshing floor (where I husked corn) and hay mows. We had trap doors to let hay and straw drop to the animals. Shian2 11 October 2017 Nice picture, Sandy, what would this barn be used for? ringleader 11 October 2017 Nicely weathered. Lovely scenic.
