Thank you, Maddie. We are getting by with God who gives us the strength to get through each day. Some days I'm ok and sometimes the tears just start flowing. I keep expecting him to come through the door. Little things trigger the tears, like a song or just a memory and when I'm in bed trying to get to sleep. I try to read a book until I get sleepy. If I don't, I lay there and cry. I am so blessed to have my jigidi soul sisters who helped me and are still helping me through the grief. I'm so happy that you are enjoying his art work. Sending big hugs your way, my friend.
I still have his paiting 'noise' in my bookmarks. That was the one I was so amazed about. He was really so gifted, really very special. But I don't need to tell you that, you know that.
Oh Donna... I didn't know, I am so sorry. so terribly sorry. I hope you can forgive me my rudeness, I really didn't know. I don't know what to say. I do know what grief is, but I never lost a child. i don't know waht to say,I'm so terribly sorry. I just don't know
Donna.. Your son is a very good artist, I was amazed at what you posted long time ago, I remember it very well. He is extremely talented.. If he was my son, I would also hang up everything he painted on the walls. I'm sure he has a good reason for not wanting to sell anything anymore. So that is fine. I'm glad you are so proud of him :-)
Maddie, my son gave a lot of his work away. Most of the stuff he gave away was his pottery. He sold some of his digital artwork. We have most of his pictures on our walls. We still have a lot of his pottery. I won't sell any more of his works.
No, I wouldn't really loose anything, only my ego would be hurt ;-))) And as far as your last comment is concerned.. Don't be ridiculous ! You will live to be 104 ! You will have plenty of time to tell people that you chat with 'that artist' LOL (to be honest, I need a lot more courage than I have now, so don't keep your breath) :-))))
very very good. You need not be shy. At worst peope will not want to buy. But you lose nothing. I really think book illustration would suit you very much. Good luck.
Hi Magda . Shall I tell you something?? A while ago, I bought a good printer, and I printed some of my drawings. And I liked it, it was so nice to see something I made my self, to see it printed !! I was surprised by that. Several people now told me I could sell, and maybe, very maybe I'm willing to give it a try... But I'm shy, and I also don't really know where to begin. I gave a drawing to a dear friend of mine, and she was so glad with it (I had put it in a nice frame..) I plan to give away some more, to several people I know, and then I can see what they think of it. And then, when I'm brave enough, I will seriously think of trying to sell. ................. So, I have become a thirsty horse, that would maybe like to have a sip ;-))))))))))))))))
I enjoyed reading comments of old times..... You see Ihave been a good girl and am not pestering you any more. They say you can take a horse to the water, but you cannt make him drink. Hahaha. I have given up on you.
No Maddie, we all love you and dont want to upset you. But your lack of self confidence, or shyness is unnatural. We just want the best for you. I will not bother you again, but please DO sign your puzzles at least. There are others who sign. If you dont, i will surely stop creating my poor puzzles. Yours are really unique, or have you seen anybody else, who does actual paintings.??? Sorry, if you get upset, but look in the mirror and tell your reflection:You are beautiful and an artist. Try it, you might believe.
If they would try to do that (which they won't), then I'm out of there, I mean that. (would probably go outside for a cigarette, then they could also talk about that, hahahahh)
Sign your work Maddie ~ It's not a matter of someone stealing it. You have created something very beautiful and it should be signed. I know what I'm talking about. Francine used to feel the same as you but I kept at her about signing. You have a talent that you refuse to acknowledge but the fact remains that you ARE talented.
