Flower of the Lotus plus seedheads (one has a old petal covering it!)
The lotus flower is an aquatic perennial. Sometimes mistaken for the water-lily, the lotus has a distinctively different structure. It also only comes in pink hues or white, whereas the lily comes in many different colours

Wonderful! No wonder these flowers are so famous! Their roots are edible, too; the Asian kitchen uses it a lot. Thanks again for a super shot and a fun puzzle!


They are most beautiful when you see large areas of them - like I saw in Singapore. Must post a few from there next year. Hugs xx
