The artwork in Today's Daily Jigsaw Puzzle is titled "A Summer Landscape With Figures Bringing In The Harvest", and the artist is Joos de Momper ♥

Joos de Momper (1564-1635) was a prominent Flemish landscape painter from Antwerp, known for his grand, atmospheric landscapes that often featured rugged terrains and dramatic, sweeping vistas. His works display a transition from Mannerism to early Baroque, blending vibrant color palettes and detailed natural elements. De Momper's paintings often included small, human figures, emphasizing the vastness and majesty of nature. He was influenced by Pieter Brueghel the Elder and collaborated with other artists, such as Jan Brueghel the Elder. De Momper's art contributed significantly to the development of landscape painting in Northern Europe during the 16th and 17th centuries.

In 1581 he became a master in the Antwerp Guild of St. Luke at only 17 years old. 4 September 1590 he married Elisabeth Gobijn. The couple had 10 children of whom Philippe de Momper became a painter. Only a small number of the 500 paintings attributed to de Momper are signed and just one is dated. AMAZING!
