Hi, Clive. It's been a joy to watch them grow.

How lucky you are to witness these lovely birds growing up Sue.

Almost always, Mat. Sometimes something catches one of them, they can't fly and the parents can only jump around and flap their huge wings. I expect it happens at night when they roost on the ground by a nearby pond. I haven't seen one hit in my neighborhood.

Sue, do you get two Sandhill chicks every year? 🐥🐥

sue1

Yes, Ardy. Now I have to wait for the next ones. These will continue to be with the adults for awhile.

It's a real treat to watch them grow. Glad the parents were able to bring through to now. Thanks for sharing them with us, Sue. Hugs

Hi, Pam and 1254. I have enjoyed watching them again this year.

Love the cranes. There is a huge number who gather at Birchwood TN during the migrations. Thousands of birds - it's a fantastic experience.

Enjoyed what you had to say at puzzle's completion, Sue - thank you for sharing about, and caring about, these sandhill cranes. ❤◡❤
