Gail, thank you, you're right, it's unexpected, I was surprised too. Nepal is a country divided into two different climatic zones, the mountains are cold but the middle and lower zones below them are subtropical. Already on arrival in Kathmandu in mid-March there was 30 degrees C (about 86 degrees F). So even at an altitude of almost 2000 m above sea level, Bougainvillea blooms. I'm glad I was able to share this information with you β™₯:))

Thank you Jolene, I'm glad you like it β™₯:))

Suzy, I understand your sigh, it's a beautiful plant, especially when it covers stone walls. Thank you for coming to see it β™₯:))

Iri, I think so too, it was definitely a beautiful experience β™₯:))

This is beautiful, and totally unexpected! 😍

Very pretty.

pumpkinhead in the Bougainvillea!!!!

It must be beautiful to be there and see itπŸ’ž

Yes, Iri, there is subtropical weather at the foot of the Himalayas, now it is around 30 degrees Celsius, which is why the plant is doing so well there β™₯:))

Interestingly, they are also doping well in the Himalayas 😏

Iri, I agree with you, it's a beautiful flowering shrub, especially in "warm landscapes" β™₯:))

Very nice photo πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰
