Why are you reporting this puzzle?

Note: Vermeer painted reflection, as you can see in her eyes, mouth and teeth.
The girl has no pearl at all, you can see a reflection of the light and of her collar. Because it is painted perfectly, it takes on the shape of a pearl, but it is actually an optical illusion.

Dear Janet, you can always learn something here. Anyway, I have already learnt a lot. Now I just need to remember it ;-)) ♥

Jaklien, I studied art at school but didn't know that. Thanks for sharing and interesting info. Hugs ♥

Jaklien

Je hebt dat fijn gezien!

Nachtwacht

Nachtwacht

Ik snap iets niet: Je meldt in jouw profiel: "I'm living near Ghent, the Dutch part of Belgium."
