Why are you reporting this puzzle?

Last week, Sue and drove 453 miles upstate to buy our flower and vegetable starts. We had a lot of hours on the road that day, plus spending a couple hours searches through a nursery to find enough plants to fill our van. After filling up the van, we decided to take a short break and go for a little walk in a city park in Salem. This is one of four photos we took during that walk. This photo shows Dogwood blooms at the top and Azaleas below.

WhiskersNFeathers, that depends on what things you are talking about. Are you thinking about the war against Covid, the war in Ukraine, the civil wars regarding abortion and the LGBTQ thing? Or...are you thinking of something else? Terry

Am I the only one that feels like too many things are going on?

dblay

Thanks, Terry.

Whiskers and dblay, Donna, I too am sorry to hear that. It appears to be a disease that started back East. We have two Dogwoods so I hope it doesn't reach us on the West Coast. Here is a link talking about it: https://www.fs.usda.gov › stelprdb5447373

I am so sorry to hear that db! I am surrounded by Dogwoods and I don't know how long they live. I think is not as long as an Oak for example. Were they all about the same age? Or maybe one of the diseases / pests that affect them. There are quite a few I learned recently.

dblay

Absolutely spectacular. I love Dogwood but two of my trees have died in recent years and the most beautiful one is now only blooming parts of the tree. My Nephew lives across the road and ALL of his have died. Such sadness to see them go. Something is causing most all the Dogwood to die. I also love Azaleas. Thank you for sharing this beauty, Terry.

WhiskersNFeathers, I hear you. They just don't seem as inviting when you get older. Then there is the price of gas, Terry

We did lots of long trips. Hubby drove from California to NYC in two days, Florida to NYC in two days. Years ago we did Rhode Island to Maryland in 7 hours. Lots and lots more. We are done with long trips.

Lovely colours, thanks for posting.

WhiskersNFeathers, I drove from California to North Carolina once in two and half days. That was a long trip, Terry

yarnover. It didn't used to seem that long. It did this time. I guess it means I am just getting old, Terry

Gorgeous. I agree with WhiskersNFeathers - a very long drive for flowers and veggies.

A very North Carolinian view (‘ ‿ ’) my neighborhood is full of those two.
Wow, that is a long drive for flowers and vegetables.
