Breakfast in France without croissants ... is like spaghetti in Italy without parmesan ... or hamburgers in the United States without ketchup (I suppose).
This reminds me of a time a few years ago when my hubby was in Paris on business and called in the afternoon (his time) to describe having a breakfast like this at his Parisian hotel. The phone call came as I was sitting down to my own breakfast in Maryland and I told him all of a sudden, my bowl of Cheerios didn't look that appetizing :-P
