Breakfast in France without croissants ... is like spaghetti in Italy without parmesan ... or hamburgers in the United States without ketchup (I suppose).

Are they even allowed to serve coffee in France without also serving croissants?

Breakfast in France ... especially the croissants (with or without jam) and a coffee ... was something special.
But it's been so many years...

Coffee in Paris in good company and coffee alone at home ... can you feel this difference?

This reminds me of a time a few years ago when my hubby was in Paris on business and called in the afternoon (his time) to describe having a breakfast like this at his Parisian hotel. The phone call came as I was sitting down to my own breakfast in Maryland and I told him all of a sudden, my bowl of Cheerios didn't look that appetizing :-P

France with a lovely view of the Eiffel Tower? How could the coffee not be good?

If coffee is good, then she will surely accept ...

I will try to entice her to join me for another glass of juice, or another coffee...

Maybe she'll just have another fruit juice...
