We spent some time today at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Canter today and I had a chance to get a few photos of their pots. Each of the 12 Pueblos has it's own style and colors of their pots. Believe it or not theses are painted with dried Yucca leaves. It is just amazing how they can do this. The colors are all made from natural materials and various colors come from their area so colors vary from Pueblo to Pueblo.

They use a wheel but just to turn the pot by hand. The wheel is like a lazy Susan. With the coordination I have I just may be able to make a long thing like a stick.

Thanks, Rich. I think I've read that the designs have meaning. Beautiful work. Is the pot made on a wheel or by hand?

One of you two owe me a painting Ditto.....These pots are truly a work of art and when you see how they cut down the size of the Yucca leaves into brushes so fine to draw lines the size of a hair you would be amazed. Thank you Shian I do get lucky every so often and this time it was with my phone as I was not sure if you could photograph at the center.

That is a beautiful pot and interesting information.
Cheers Yolanda
