I made these out of stoneware and porcelain with homemade clear and tenmoku glazes.

I do love the way they feel. There is grog in the stoneware, so you get that really natural feeling. I usually eat soup out of the bowl.

I know these must feel extraordinary in the hand. These are beautiful, Ryan! Kudos on the thinness of the bowl. I love the traditional "foot" on it. The tenmoku is beautiful and earthy. Thank you for sharing!

Thanks to both of you! ^_^

A really beautiful set, naturelovingfarmer. You are very talented, & welcome to jigidi!

You did an amazing job on all three of these pieces Ryan. I can visualize in my mind the bottom of the bowl and how it looks like the sun. Very powerful!

This is my favorite set I've ever made. The bowl was the most difficult, and it is the thinnest piece I have ever made, so it is the one I am most proud of. It also has some inlay in the center in the form of white cherry blossoms. On the bottom it is carved with a number of concentric circles and the outside is chattered. Viewed from the bottom, it looks like the sun.

Awesome Ryan! Love them. I can't pick a favorite.
