It looks like a ripe ground cherry, a relative of the tomato. The original ground cherry with seeds still available is Aunt Molly's Ground cherry which is a yellow color when ripe. The seeds are available through Seed Saver's Exchange in Decorah, Iowa. I am sure there are other heirloom seed sites that have them as well.
