Why are you reporting this puzzle?

I don't know if this is a young whopping crane but the bird seemed so much larger than the other large birds. We took this photo at Aransas National Wildlife Refuge in TX. Whooping cranes grow to be 5 feet tall.

@schutkleur My telephoto lens was taken by someone and I was heartsick. I still have my camera but for me, this was a trip of a lifetime. The Whooping cranes winter on Aransas Wildlife refuge. We were very far away from these birds when I took this photo.

This is a great blue heron Marilyn.
But I'm jealous of the duck to the left of him : a pintail! I hardly ever get to see a pintail duck :)
