Well, telephone lines operate at about 90 volts, I believe, if I remember right. I have a retired AT&T guy as a next door neighbor. So a shock now and then in a telephone center seems possible.


I worked on one of the last telephone "cord boards", back in the 1970s. It gave a respectable shock more than once, although they were supposed to be insulated.
