Hi Judith, With all the floods you have in York, you would think that some genius would come up with a way of saving your flood waters. ?

midie

@CJ45 Yorkshire water last week were still well watered, besides reservoirs they take from rivers, and have bore holes. Another 4-6 weeks of this though and we might be dry.

@PuzzleG
@Sissel
Enjoy Judith's Peak District. LOL!!!

Hi Judith, it rained slightly yesterday here but to no avail the grass is still brown, but our reservoirs are still full to capacity. Due to Anglia water making a cock up in 1976 when we all ran out of water and in those days there was no bottled water. Our rivers were depleted and we had to get water from bore holes and they had to get browsers of water in for us just to drink. LOL!!!
There was so much discontent and the water board was fined heavily for the problem they now pump our rivers back all the time to make sure our reservoirs stay full. If they do over flow then it goes back to our rivers.

@CJ45 thought I might keep a log of rainfall on here. We had about an hour of light rain Thursday, Met Office said 4 hours with 2 of them heavy. Before that similar 2 weeks before. Lawn is a field of sun ripened corn, or it would be if the dog had not worn it bare.

Hi Judith sorry to hear that you are still suffering. I must admitt I am a terrible gardener although I have a large garden and try to maintain it but there we go.
So nice to hear from you again please stay in touch.
Clive.

CJ how good to hear from you. Improved but not there yet I have something else going on now, and there is a cross over with my hypothyroid symptoms like lethargy...

Hope your good CJ not sure if your a gardener, but I am getting worried about lack of rain in this bit of Gods country, it must be getting on for about 4 weeks now with only light showers about twice, since it really rained.
