Why are you reporting this puzzle?

Okay, so what have we got here? A Turducken, affectionately known as a 'Turd', made by stuffing a deboned chicken inside a deboned duck, further stuffed into a deboned turkey. Yeah... right. It was supposedly developed by Paul Prudhomme in the 70s. This Frankenbird is still around... where's Paul now? Well, actually he's dead, but this might be his legacy (poor Paul).

This particular creation appears to have added stuffing to the party, and some people wrap their Turds in bacon, which is a waste of good bacon, but what are you gonna do?

Personally, I think this looks like the stomach contents of a corpse some unfortunate forensic pathologist had to dig through, but maybe that's just me. If I'm served this for Thanksgiving, there better be plenty of wine...

Not a fan of Spam, but would definitely consider eating it if the country runs out of all other food.

rswestley

@swallace55 - I'm afraid I cannot put much faith in your assessment of SPAM considering it comes from a bird that eats a variety of plants and animals, including seeds, roots, grasses, insects, rodents and lizards. Have you tried gecko flavored SPAM? You may find it more to your liking :-)

swallace55

I tasted Spam once. It might be just me but that doesn't taste like something you should swallow.

Bubble

John, have you heard from your 3 guests since their Thanksgiving dinner with you?
No ?...................... I thought not ( • ͜ʖ • )

morepiecesplz

That's how it works - someone gets fresh, someone gets touched...

rswestley

The coroner would not need to touch SPAM... if the SPAM is fresh, it will touch the coroner

morepiecesplz

I still say this is what a coroner has to sort throught to determine 'cause of death'...

...and they won't even touch SPAM...

rswestley

We had turSPAMken* for our Thanksgiving feast and lucky for me, only 3 of the 12 people I invited came to dinner. We had plenty of leftovers so me and the dogs have been enjoying a lot of Maalox and Pepto Bismal.

* - if you can't find turSPAMken in your favorite grocery store, try looking in the fertilizer department of the Home Depot garden department.... or make your own. All you need is 27 cans of SPAM, a glue gun and an electric carving knife

Surreal_Heidi

I still think this looks like gastronomic perfection.

morepiecesplz

I use the soy bacon often - it doesn't take the place of bacon, of course, but it's nice on it's own. You have a good attitude - try things at least once. You never know what will taste good...

swallace55

Thanks for that clarification. I would try it at least once. I eat just about anything. I have the taste buds of your average garbage compactor. I use the grocery pickup service at the store but let the delivery people pick out the brands they like because it usually tastes better than the brand I was using. Tofurkey might be a winner.

morepiecesplz

Hi, swallace - you're braver (or hungrier) than I. I think I'd skip this. Tofurkey is 'turkey' made of tofu, basically mashed soybeans, suitable for vegetarians. I'd eat that before the mess above...

swallace55

Looks good to me. I'd eat it if someone else went to the trouble of stuffing it all together. Personally, I don't like to work hard at cooking so I would buy a ready made one. If this is a turducken, what's a tofurkey?

Fowly

I usually make gravy with the pan juices. So i would do the same with the turducken.

Surreal_Heidi

Turkey gravy goes with all poultry.

Like everything else in the world Amazon has it. (There are also many other specialty listings... just google...)

Fowly

I will have a portion of DUCK please. But seriously…….I wonder what sauce is served with it.

I have seen it done in TV, it is a lot of work.

Surreal_Heidi

I HAVE seen them ready made and frozen..... at Walmart, believe it or not!

morepiecesplz

Heidi - I've never seen one ready made. I think this is the kind of dish you prepare yourself... late at night... in your basement with your hunchbacked servant...

I told my sister about it, She might or not.

Surreal_Heidi

I'm going on a search mission next week to try to find a turducken. This looks so delicious.

Fowly

I think this looks yummy….and I like Brussel sprouts, much nicer than broccoli. I do like broccolini though.

Bubble

I see 'The Scream' in there trying to get out - Edward Munch knew ! ( • ͜ʖ • )

mauismom

my cousin's name for those round, green things was 'alien heads'. not too bad roasted, but if your planning to invite me for turducken and sprouts, i think i'm going to be busy that day.

morepiecesplz

Oh, the horror! Eating all the little sprouting Belgians, not allowing them to grow to adulthood... soon they shall all die off...

Fowly

And we eat Brussel sprouts too morepiecesplz…………..

morepiecesplz

I think eating Swedes is against the law... Norwegians are okay, but not Swedes,

Fowly

And @Surreal_Heidi I havent heard of or seen tinned haggis, is it in the stomach lining?? (I think tripe sounds more palatable). I would try it if I could. Enjoy. Fay.

Fowly

I would try this conglomerate meat dish morepiecesplz, with that stuffing and some pan juice gravy, it would be DELISH!!!

Fowly

I have had haggis many times @Juba1010 (hubby was a Scotsman) and it is very tasty, served with mashed potato and Swedes. Great cold on a sandwich with tomato sauce. My sister was a very finicky eater and she liked it too.

Juba1010

I have no idea.

morepiecesplz

What the hell happened? I enjoyed the haggis remark. I get so few comments, now you're deleting them??? That's just mean...

(always better to blame TIM...)

Juba1010

I blame TIM.

Surreal_Heidi

I have 2 cans of Haggis in my pantry. I'm saving them for a special occasion.

Juba1010

Fine. Just leave me swinging in the breeze talking about haggis.

rswestley

OK... the coast is clear. I deleted my lame comments so it is safe to come back now. mpp will be serving milk and cookies at 10pm, so don't be late

Juba1010

I did think about haggis when I saw this. Never tried that either. Not on the bucket list. More like Mr. Creosote’s bucket list.

Jones Soda.

togocat

Then there's tofurkey...and the turkey dinner in a can... and the turkey-and-stuffing-flavored candy corn nightmare...
Why does Thanksgiving attract Frankenfoods?

morepiecesplz

It looks like somebody's already tried it, then put it on a plate...

I would like to try it.

Surreal_Heidi

I want one of these!!! My mouth is watering something fierce!

Juba1010

Sal is not invited for Thanksgiving.
