A handsome dog.

I didn't know that. That sounds interesting. I would like to see hair spun from a dog

I'll take some pics & upload them as puzzles. I did sell a few of them at dog shows. I've got a few tams that I wear in winter. I'll let you know when they are up. I borrowed a spinning wheel from a friend, but I had to return it when she moved out of the area. Any long haired breed can be spun. You have to use only brushed out hair. And depending on the breed, adding in wool will strengthen the yarn.

Would love to see them!! I've never known anyone who did it. My Maggie was gone before I knew this.

I've done it. With Irish hair, it's best to add in some wool when you spin it.. I've got some hats I've made from my Irish's hair.

Did you know you can spin & make yarn from dog hair, just like wool? What a gorgeous sweater that would be!!

Thanks everyone. Besides being beautiful, she's a very sweet girl. I just bought a few more brushes for her. Only natural boar bristle for Irish hair, & she gets brushed every day with a bath once a week. Actually with daily brushing, there isn't that much shedding. But my trash bag in grooming room is filled with her hair.

How many miles on her brush? (And the vacuum?) Beautiful !

Tootsie is gorgeous.
