Blooming in adversity - something I admire very much. Thanks for sharing this tough fellow!

pumpkinhead

Thank you Saavik, alias2v and Marina. It is certainly a survivor to nature's whims.

MarinaNephele

A dedicated survivor..to nature's whims.

:)

SaavikLeary

:-))

One step at a time, Hanne. It is not easy, but it works. Always here, my friend. ♥♥♥

The sky is good to look at, Saavik! Stop looking at the details and enjoy the big picture! Gutters will always be there! LOL

SaavikLeary

I need to look around me more I think. :-) I stare at the sky a lot, Just not when I'm going into the doorway. I keep looking up at it now, plus the small plant poking up about 2 feet away, maybe I should dig it all out & use it for fertilizer :-D

Elfie

Guess that's the only way to get to the top now, Suzy, thanks for the chance! Hugs.♥♥♥

pumpkinhead

It is happy, Barb. And luckily, nobody has stepped on it.

You are welcome, Shirley. There are some very determined plants out there in the world....do hope you can find a few. :)

Why WOULD you see it, Saavik? It's above your head and out of your line of vision!!! LOL

Hanne. :)) I believe we share the same plants, as it does appear to be a goldenroot. It certainly does know where to get the views when it decides to put its roots down. So very nice to have you stop by at the top of the mountain! ♥♥♥

Elfie

If it is what I think it is then it is a very tough plant indeed, a solidago virgaurea, a goldenroot. We've seen it in so many tough places in Sweden, and isn't it just fantastic to meet it on the top! It prefers the very best sights! ♥♥♥

goingsilver

It must be tough as old boots to survive there! ☺

SaavikLeary

Yup! lol I didn't see it until I was taking pics of a thunderstorm :-D

Shian2

That's the kind of strength I need in plants at my place, it's such a cute little flower too, Thanks, Suzy.

SunnyBarb25

Happy to be alive. Thank you, Suzy 🌻

LOL

pumpkinhead

:)) Ianto!

Surely she is amazing, Janet! Hugs!

Wind does amazing things...and many plants take root in happy gutters....not just yours, Saavik!!! LOL

SaavikLeary

I think it might have seeded when the wind blew things around, I really should clean it up, I'm a bit of a slob I'm afraid. ;-)

jan42ful

Nature is amazing thanks Suzy, with hugs. ♥

:-)))

Thank you so much for your solve and comment, @Annetta . It's always nice to meet someone new! :)

You are so right, Ianto!

A bit of soil and the strong prevail, Jacki. :)

No matter how bad the conditions, things seems to survive, Ardy. We can all learn a lesson from that. Hugs! ♥

That is the quote I was looking for, Faye!!!! :)

So happy to hear you enjoyed the strength of this little flower, Sandi. Hoping all is well and that the cooler temperatures are a nice relief.

LOL, Jill!! Yes. There is one strand left!!

Probably needs to wait two more days, Lela......

For some reason, when I close my eyes VERY tightly, I can see your gutter as a home for a wayward plant, Saavik!!! LOL

Not giving in to the elements, treker!

Thank you, Patti. It is a sweet little thing. :)

Brave is a fine adjective to describe this lone yellow flower, Iris. Thank you. :)

irisriver

Brave sweet flower and such a perfect picture! grins!☺

PLG1958

Awww, sweet little thing! Wonderful photo! Thanks Suzy!

treker

Hangin' in!

SaavikLeary

They seem to grow out of the rocks when we don't see where the roots went ;-) I have one (I have to remove from the gutter above my front door) :-)

lelabugosi

Probably looking for ice cream ........

JillianB

So it’s not completely bald - one strand left 😏

SandiT

I love this photo. Thanks, Suzy.

Oh, Suzy. How wonderful. Amazing what can and does grow in the most difficult of circumstances. Delighted you found this and saved it to show us. Thank you, dear friend. ♥♥

bluebird42

Plants are such wonderful things that grow anywhere they can find even a tiny bit of soil to grow in. WOW! and there's even a tiny bee working on this one! Great shot, Suzy. Thanks!

Life finds a way.
