LOL. Great question, Carol. Maybe dawn hunting instinct? Learning our pattern? I have the same thing here at 0500. Don't need an alarm clock....or a snooze button, cuz he'll "remind" me if I doze off. Sometimes I can get him to settle down for a bit, but not usually for long. Wimsey is also very quiet about it...no yowling...just that delicate paw and perhaps extra weight as he stands on my chest looking down, possibly like this:

Hi Dusty, bet you could down a couple of these without chewing. So could your Mom but she would chew! LOL

Carol66

Calluna, I have another question about our furry felines........how do they know what time it is? I am a early riser (0400AM). If I am a minute off schedule there is a furry face and paw in my face. ;)

calluna

Our Fourth was relaxing and quiet....no public display a few streets away and not many firecrackers from the citizenry, though other areas really went to town. Wimsey hasn't seemed to mind fireworks in the past, despite being so close. Tango was the one who was sensitive, even to noisy cars/trucks, and who reeeeallly disliked fireworks and would hide until they were well over (even with windows closed and TV on to counteract them)....with me nearby talking soothing nonsense. They're pretty from a distance, but I'm not keen on the noise close-up, or how uncomfortable they can be for furry kids. Too funny (and true) about the treat jar...how do they manage that?! :-)

dustydog

Mmm-mmm, GOOD!!
Dusty : )

Carol66

Calluna, how was your 4th?? :)

Carol66

Hi Calluna, we had a solitary 4th. City did not have to put on a firework show........the citizens did it for them. It was like a battleground/light show for several hours. Quite beautiful if one likes gun powder! Payton gives no mind to the noise. I would think he was going deaf........but, he can hear the "treat" jar from 3 rooms away. lol

calluna

YUM! I'll take two....no, make it three. Ready for dinner. LOL!
Hope you and Payton had a lovely Fourth! :-))

Carol66

LOL, I bet our Jigidi group could have one GREAT party.....food, food and MORE food!

Scott's place or yours??

jimez

3 Please. :)

Carol66

Welcome, Porgy! I was thinking the same thing......I could happily "consume" a few of these...........right now!

porgy

I could sure 'slide' a few of these down right now Carol! Thanks for two delectable puzzles!
