I'm pretty sure the chicken wire is to help with grip. It is a pier not a float. Pool Keynes is in Gloucestershire and is a freshwater lake. Here is where we stayed - it was amazing: http://loghouseholidays.co.uk/

This is a beautiful picture and I enjoyed working the puzzle. Large enough to be fun but not so large as to be too difficult. My thought on the dock is that maybe it is not a pier but a float instead. My question is where is Poole Keynes and is this fresh water or tidewater?

I like this scene. Calm, peaceful, serene. Out of the mainstream's hustle and bustle. I'm wondering what the purpose of the chicken wire covering the pier is for...........maybe 'safe' footing when wet? Just curious. ;o) Thx for sharing.
