msbonne

REALLY?

Wow, hippo, you really hired grade A ells for this puzzle, I was convinced from the onset that they were terribly miserable.

Bravo ells, bravo.

hippo

Don't be sad, Hoff, they were not really unhappy, they were only acting.

msbonne

The really got me down.

hippo

The Ls are definitely not happy Ls...

msbonne

Sad Ells.

Fowly

I thought it was Towering Inferno also,.....where are the saddles?

msbonne

I thought I was helping.

my bad, sorry, I will go away now.

Mischka

[with quiet dignity] Thank you, @hippo.

hippo

Stop it Hoff! Are you trying to give Fi a brain aneurism??!

In that case it will be Karloffska for EVER!

msbonne

Pam Anderson.

msbonne

Abe Lincoln

msbonne

Gerard Butler

msbonne

Plato = a plot
Tom Selleck = Colt me, Elks! (Or not)
Gen. Robt E. Lee = Genteel bore

Sorry, birthday boy, I'm stopping now.

racoonstar

I think, that along with a face mask for when I go out in public, I need a blindfold when reading msbonne's posts.

msbonne

Robert E Lee...….

msbonne

Tom Selleck.

msbonne

Plato.

msbonne

Hercules.

msbonne

anagrammatization is a genetic disorder. Many famous people have suffered from it.

I shall begin listing them now.

racoonstar

:::patiently waiting out the anagram phase so we can get back to solving puzzles:::

msbonne

Towering Inferno? really Mischka?

Mischka

(Well... mad "anosmic," actually ...) ;-)

Juba, anagrammatization is exactly like dyslexia, only on purpose. But mine is compulsive, not complete under control. Sometimes I get impatient with it, if I lose track of conversation while working on a word spoken several sentences ago. :-)

nanab

Most anagrams have trigger words that are a clue to rearrange the letters.
In a picture puzzle the fact that the letters are scrambled, stirred, crazy, mad etc, only occurs to you once you've exhausted other possibilities, unless you're a frequent anagram solver.

Surreal_Heidi

I don't know if anyone was expecting a combination anagram and rebus.

hippo

Mad = "anagram" so "mad anosmia" can mean masonic.

Here "Mad Max 2" an anagram of "MAX 2" so A2XM. Yes it's hard...

Well done getting Blazing Saddles, a few clever peeps missed that. That was hard too...

Surreal_Heidi

I got Blazing Saddles, but NOT Mad Max 2. I still can't figure out how you get that from the clue.

ParsonWayne

@Mischka We are all so sorry to hear about your terrible disease - anagrammatization.
I hope the doctor is able to treat it. Is it very painful? We all wish you a speedy recovery. ;o)))

Juba1010

You guys make quite the spectacle, running around trying to ride each other.

Keep up the good work!

hippo

I hae some heavy duty gardening gloves you could maybe re-porpoise...

msbonne

I have several porpoise friends, I have never tried to ride one. Perhaps I can make some thick claw gloves and give it a shot.

Thanks for the idea.

racoonstar

Now that's something I'd love to see!
A de-clawed sloth riding a porpoise!

(de-clawed so that no porpoises were harmed in the riding)

msbonne

I don't know that a porpoise is required, but certainly makes it more entertaining.

Juba1010

Is anagrammatization like dyslexia, only on purpose?

Juba1010

Ok

msbonne

I agree PW. It really stinks.

ParsonWayne

Fiona, I am so sorry to hear about your anagrammatization. Have you suffered with it all your life? I hope they find a cure for it soon. ;o)))

msbonne

Don't bite me.

Juba1010

I didn’t get either one.
.....and I don’t care la la la la :-)

msbonne

If boB say it is good, then it is good.

racoonstar

Wasier will work!

nanab

1. Fires Down Under, 2. YES!

manicpuzzler

LOL :)) :))

It's Bobs Birthday :))

hippo

It's easier but spelled with a w to confuse him... :)

msbonne

I think we should all get one.

manicpuzzler

LOL :)) :)) I want one too :))

msbonne

What the hell is a wasier? and why does racoon get one?

hippo

I suppose I COULD try and make it wasier for you, Mr. 'coon.

Or not... :))

msbonne

piece and luv to all.

I have prepared a speech.

"Wait a minute while I whip this out".

manicpuzzler

ʕ๑‿๑ʔ꒰•‿•꒱ʕ๑‿๑ʔ LOLʕ๑‿๑ʔ꒰•‿•꒱ʕ๑‿๑ʔ

racoonstar

Well, can you post a warning in the future that your "puzzle" doesn't involve pieces, and is instead an anagramish thingy.

hippo

Backwards crossword puzzles with pictures...

racoonstar

So Jigidi is transitioning to crossword puzzles? :D

hippo

@racoonstar, Anagram of A2XM is MAX 2. So it is MAX 2 mad... if you did cryptic crosswords this would just be your normal way of thinking...

Mischka

I kept thinking Towering Inferno and knew it was wrong.

@hippo I am deeply shamed that my usual whirling anagrammatization let me down this time.

This was fun, thanks so much!

racoonstar

#1 - :::groan:::
#2 - I don't understand the answer. :(

manicpuzzler

Oops I had towering inferno for #1 but got #2 :))

hippo

Answers:

#1: Blazing Saddles. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qm6NygR95MA

#2: Mad Max 2.

manicpuzzler

Got it :)) YAY :))

Mischka

I know, right? :-)

hippo

You needed help with an anagram puzzle Fiona? I am shocked!!! :))

Mischka

Thanks, that gives me #2.

hippo

Big Spoiler...

Anagram.

manicpuzzler

I am still working on #2, and I have no idea at all :(

hippo

I am disappointed @Max_Tooney has not solved these... Very disappointed! :((

Answers coming up shortly...

hippo

For you, Hoff, I will make the puzzle free this time! :))

msbonne

I like puzzles to last about 4 years. Anything less and I feel like I have been ripped off.

nanab

Silly Rudy, he must have forgotten that.

msbonne

Alas, I do not do puzzles less than 7,000 pieces.

nanab

Hoff if you solve you'll see a message.

msbonne

A mouse? I have been using a cat for many centuries on my pc now. I think a mouse might actually be easier to maneuver. Thank for the tip.

Surreal_Heidi

Thank you for the hint on #1, hippo. Got it!

racoonstar

:D

hippo

Huh??

I am not going to even TRY for 5 seconds.

Juba1010

Somebody’s mouse just bit my finger.

racoonstar

Oops. :D

racoonstar

The mouse and pad make all the difference. :)

hippo

Heh, for once I beat @racoonstar in the puzzle! Sometimes it just falls out... plus I have a new mouse :))

Juba1010

No clue. It’s Friday. ::::sigh::::

nanab

(~‿•)

hippo

No, no, these are different ones, I promise!

nanab

Hey, you're just giving me the stars I gave you! : (

ParsonWayne

Random Thought:

When a rich businessman began to choke on a fish bone at a restaurant, a doctor seated at a nearby table sprang up, performed the Heimlich maneuver, and saved his life.
"Thank you, thank you!" said the businessman. "Please, I insist on paying you. Just name the fee."
"Okay," said the doctor. "How about half of what you’d have offered when the bone was still stuck in your throat?"

nanab

I often think I'm right...and then you post the answers. : (

msbonne

I am saddened by the frowning burning guys.

hippo

Well done on solving both @nanab! ⭐⭐ on the way - I trust you! :)

hippo

It's a quote. More or less. From one of the answers...

nanab

Got #1

nanab

Got #2

nanab

Did someone call you the wrong name? I need time to process these.

Juba1010

Good morning hippo. I’ll be back.

Mischka

Oh, goody!

I'm afraid I have to crash for a couple more hours, but I look forward to solving / mangling my brains about these.

manicpuzzler

I didn't realise that everyone called you Hippo, that's a surprise! LOL :))

manicpuzzler

YAY, they return :)) :))

Got #1 working on #2 :))

hippo

Just a couple of film puzzles to keep you all in shipshape condition...
