Thank you so much, Kate--but keep the blue skies for yourself, please--they'll help cheer you and speed your recovery, I hope!

Hi Pat, this is another one I really love - and the comments too. We're having some rain from time to time but mostly blue skys - I'll send you some. I know you have so much warmth in your heart because you share such bright colors with us. Thanks

:~)

It feels as if it is already here--we must have at least 7 inches of snow by now, and it's still coming down! Maybe we're going to skip right from Halloween to Christmas this year... :-(((

whatnauts

Definitely festive. It will be here before you know it.

pdevredis

Maybe he and Jenny thought they were strands of pasta...... Or not.......

A crisply stated comment, Mandy, pared to its essentials..... :-)

monza006

A remarkable pair, thanks Pat.

lelabugosi

........maybe the laces.......

pdevredis

Oh, no--the pears were edible, Robbie! Lela was asking about the "black bits", and that's what I was referring to! So it must have been something else in the cobbler--the soles or heels, perhaps?! :-)))

Robbiel

Oh now you tell me PD, no wonder Jenny is gagging!!!! ( I made pear cobbler for lunch with these!)

pdevredis

Hello, roseheather, Francine, Lela, and Robbie! Sorry it took so long to reply, but I quit Jigidi early and watched the election returns instead. I hope by now the song has stopped echoing in your brains, and that all wounds have stopped bleeding.......! As for exotic fruit...well, I hope no one tasted it, because I don't think it was edible...

lelabugosi

(I wasn't going to mention my finger......)

Robbiel

Hi PD, I see Lela shot a rocket through the middle of the pear tree trying to get a lot of fruit because he pricked his finger on a holly leaf!! Cool puzzle, thanks.

lelabugosi

Are the black bits a type of exotic fruit?......

bookish

Another fun one. Thanks Pat. Found myself humming that tune....:)

roseheather

Great title! ; )

pdevredis

Thank you, Ardy--It looked like a combination of pears and holly to me, very appropriate for the approaching season!

ringleader

And a lovely pear tree it is. Thanks, Pat.
