Why are you reporting this puzzle?
During the Second World War (1939–1945), some foods in Britain were in very short supply. This plate in the museum shows how much cheese, ham, sausages, butter, tea and sugar an adult was allowed each week in 1943. As you can see, it’s not very much! Sweets and chocolates were so scarce that they would stay rationed until 1953.
