Birgit73 30 May 2020 I could never eat a 'pet' that I'd become attached to, and I'm a sucker for all animals, even creepy crawly spiders and such...won't kill them...relocate. When I eat meat, I don't think of their origin or I would have to turn vegan...I have too much imagination. Donnajames 30 May 2020 @myself1935 - They have a bunch of chickens and turkeys. This is actually not his 'pet'. He just loved running around playing with them....actually....chasing them and doing that wonderful carefree laugh children have at that age. myself1935 30 May 2020 l like the series but l cannot help but feel so sorry for the poor turkey- l am not about to become vegetarian again- l was one for years until l developed an iron disorder-but really it breaks my heart... myself1935 30 May 2020 NOW l could not eat the precious pet either- but as a child we grew rabbits for food. l LOVED the rabbits, l talked to the rabbits, l hand fed the rabbits with the greens l picked daily specially for them, l rejoiced over their babies...l never connected their slaughter and watching their blood run into a bowl, and the delicious meal l ate- with my beloved rabbits...perhaps because we had a whole slew of them and they reproduced...like rabbits! irisriver 5 November 2019 I could not eat this precious pet either.♥♥♥ JillianB 4 November 2019 With you Birgit, bit hopeless could never eat anything I had personally known :-( Bea Birgit73 4 November 2019 @Donnajames - I could not imagine eating the 'pet' ...
