Ah yes, of course! The similar photo op from St Cuthbert's graveyard (just about 50yds out of shot to the front-right where you were), gives a slightly different angle. I should have noticed with how the old stable block (now the Redcoat cafe) looks. Thanks again Donna.

@loveallmypups - the highest order of Knights in Scotland is "The Order of the Thistle"; I'm unsure what you mean by a book, but I'd assume there's a listing of all the holders somewhere in the castle - but with the wonder of the internet, here's a list ... I hope it's what you're looking for.
