I make a very short crust and found this neat spatula to lift the dough without tearing it.

Carol, I'm okay...just trying to deal with the Texas HEAT. I'll turn 80 in January (egads!) and was part of the generation that SMOKED, at least about 75% of us did. So, I take it easy in the times of excess heat and try to stay indoors. Rodney is taking about 10 days to go to Pennsylvania to visit his dad (taking his 3 sons with him) so, I'll be really on my own! I had a number of bloody nose events recently so I've been extra "quiet" while that heals up. Oh, me. Bette Davis was right when she said, "Aging isn't for sissies!" Aside from these not-life-threatening events, I'm in pretty good shape. I drove to Plano this AM, from McKinney (8-lane freeway full of crazed drivers) and did some COSTCO shopping. A lot of people my age are sitting in rest homes, unable to function; I feel quite blessed. Am going to quit this and post a pic of me with my husband's only grandson, with his wife and their new baby, Jonah. They brought the baby to meet me ("wicked" step-grandma) in June. Thanks for thinking about me! Carole :)))

Just checking on you!

What a great idea...I love my Nana's pie crust recipe, but it is best if it is rolled out very, very thin...I am sure this will help me to lift it off the dough board. Thanks! --Merrie
