Maybe a bit of dappled sun as shown in the road would hit the house, and I should imagine in the extreme heat of the summer, this would be a good retreat. ✿✿✿ Created by yonx Published 12 January 2017 Image copyright: From the free webshare , no attribution required. I, like you, loved to be in amongst the trees, the silence is special, and then you hear a bird song, so lovely. I spent many hours by myself after school, wandering through, inspecting the mosses and ferns etc that were growing on the lower trunks and the fallen logs. I used to find many fairy dresses etc amongst those mosses. (no one understood how...). :) I was a day dreamer and a fantasy maker, a romantic.BeeKay has put me right about this little place, and it turns out it is a "maple sugar house". Here is what she said further down this thread... and there's a video to watch about it if you want to do that... QUOTEThis is a "maple sugar house". In the New England area of USA we make maple syrup from the sap of the maple trees. The sap is boiled into syrup in this type of building.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hcS85oGVPSE - UNQUOTEI am having a good day today and the same back to you Donna. I'm so glad you enjoyed this scene. I understand about the comfort part, as rain makes me feel comforted. Robyn :) dblay 26 January 2017 What a beautiful picture. I love scenes in the forest where there is a road or walking trail. It is just so peaceful and comforting. This little house/cabin seems to be very old and looks a little lonesome sitting there by itself in the forest. I do hope someone lives in it or at least visits it. :)) Thank you for posting this. Hope you are having a good day today. yonx 20 January 2017 About 10 years ago BeeKay, my grand daughter bought this, only 1 quart for 80.00 New Zealand dollars. I don't know what that would have been worth in US$ at that time. At times we paid twice as much as the US rate because of the exchange rate, so to us it's very expensive, and it's the B grade. So this bottle of yummy was treated like gold LOL. There was a drink we made with it as well, pepper lemon, maple and water I think. It was really nice. If we could get a whole gallon for that 80.00 we would be in. ☺ BeeKay2 20 January 2017 Maple syrup is expensive here too with an average price this year of $35.00 USD per gallon. The further away it is shipped the higher the price is. Also there are different grades (quality) of light to dark which affect the price too. The imitation maple flavored syrup is also sold here and is a popular and much cheaper alternative...but yes, there is a difference ☺ yonx 20 January 2017 You can always tell me anything BeeKay, I just love to hear about things, and I also like to be put right about things. How lovely to see these places yourself, and probably the maple syrup is a lot cheaper there than it is here. They sell a cane sugar imitation that lots use, and it's not a bad imitation, but the difference is there. ☺☺☺¸.`★•¸.`★•¸. BeeKay2 19 January 2017 Your welcome☺ I'm happy you did not mind my adding the information. This type of building and scenery is familiar (common) to where I live in northern New Hampshire :-)) yonx 17 January 2017 Hi BeeKay and thank you for the enlightenment. It did cross my mind that it may not be a home at all, but on the free to share pictures they don't give any information about it. I just LOVE maple syrup! Great video in your link, and I have a bottle like the ones they show. It's empty now but I love the look of it so I kept it. I really appreciate you taking the time to share your information. :) Robyn BeeKay2 17 January 2017 This is a "maple sugar house". It is lovely.I suppose you get tired of translating all the time. The translator does not always do a good job. I will try it here..Viděla jsem si letní vycházce scénu. Je to krásné.Myslím, že vás omrzí překládání po celou dobu. Překladatel nemusí vždy dělat dobrou práci. Budu si to vyzkoušet zde . irmachac 14 January 2017 Ještě jsem poslala jednu fotku z letní procházky, aby jste se zase rozmrazil :-) yonx 14 January 2017 I went and looked Irena, and for a second I felt cooled, LOL When winter arrives here I suppose we'll all be sooks and forget how hot it was in the summer. Human nature... :) Robyn irmachac 14 January 2017 Today I sent winter images, if you want to cool off ???haha and sunflower for the encouragement .Thank You Irena yonx 14 January 2017 Oh, of course, it's Autumn Irena lol I didn't think of that. So those leaves will fall and let the winter sun in. Thanks muchly for your comment and enlightenment. (I'm a dillbrain at times haha). :):) irmachac 14 January 2017 Beautiful autumn picture Robyn, I like :-) yonx 14 January 2017 I agree Cecilia. In the winter, if the trees lose their leaves, it would be ok too. The very best way to cool off is to sit under a really shady tree - providing there are no sand flies or mosquitos! I will enjoy my weekend and I hope you do too. It's not all that hot here at the moment. (I'm glad as the heat weakens me a lot). xxx CECE1974 14 January 2017 I would love to live there, Robyn! It's so good to be sorrunded of trees with the summer we are having! Thanks GOD today is, better than last days! Hoping you are well! Have a great weekend, my dear! Why this advertisement?
