Today’s Daily Jigsaw Puzzle is a special treat for train enthusiasts and history lovers ♥

The train we see in Today’s Daily Puzzle is the White Pass & Yukon Route Railway. Construction of the railway began in spring 1898 at sea level in the boom town of Skagway but soon headed up the mountains. Part of the initial goal was to support the Klondike Gold Rush, which started in 1896 upon a gold finding in Bonanza Creek in the Canadian Klondike.

If you are interested in the story of how the railway came to be, the people behind and the construction, you can read more about it here.

And if you’d like to ride on The scenic White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad – let’s just go right now!

What a lovely view of the countryside.

Krásná scenérie, díky :-))

We actually rode this train for real when we were in Skagway. It was a fun ride, and even a little scary in some spots. We sure did enjoy it.
