PutterDutt 20 August 2019 Oh.....THANK YOU, senrabyar, for the info. That makes it seem a lot less dangerous! PutterDutt 20 August 2019 I wish, Tincup. These last few months my dogs are convinced that letting me sleep properly until, say, 5:30 is wrong and I must be barked awake somewhere between 1:00 and 2:00 AM. I love them, but NOT at that hour! :o( Tincup 20 August 2019 Nightie night... Tincup 20 August 2019 Ellen, what are you still doing up??? It's almost time to get up tomorrow morning.;o) Tincup 20 August 2019 Amazing and awe-some. senrabyar 20 August 2019 You have been deceived by the photo! The lighthouse is at the end of the harbour wall, and therefore can be easily reached in good weather. But the designers had also considered poor weather, so the harbour wall was built with a tunnel the whole 610m length of the wall. The angle of the harbour wall into the North Sea produces these wonderful towering waves whenever the wind and tide are right. Jigsawfanatic 20 August 2019 That wave dwarfs the lighthouse. Imagine trying to land a boat there when the light keeper needs more supplies. PutterDutt 20 August 2019 YIKES!!!! Why this advertisement?
