In today’s Daily Jigsaw Puzzle, we’re in St. Maddalena village in Funes Valley, northern Italy. The mountain range you see in the background is the Dolomites.

The village of Santa Maddalena is named after the town church, Santa Maddalena Church. 370 people live here, and each day they get to wake up to the view of the Dolomites mountain range that rises above their beautiful little town – fields of wildflowers and patches of evergreen forests.

As you might imagine, there are several hiking opportunities in this area, and lucky hikers get to pass through trails that meander through the valley and onwards to the adjacent nature park of Parco Naturale Puez Odle.

So, are your legs up for some hiking today? Let’s visit the small and beautiful village of Santa Maddalena and thoroughly enjoy its breathtaking surroundings.
