snowy squirrels

I'm sure of it!

I try. I call them my wild pets. I get the fun of watching them and providing for them in a small way but no cages to clean. (And I know they are happier in the wild!)

What a lovely idea. I haven't experienced the deep cold you do, but it sounds as though you're making things very pleasant for furred and feathered friends.

Most winters I get the heated bird bath out for a water source. When I do, my deck is dubbed Parker's Spa and Grill!

I think I saw a hawk with something in his talons fly by the other day. He went so fast I couldn't see what he had.

Yeah, I was surprised by the numbers myself. They will get thinned out this summer when the hawks come through.

Did I tell you I saw a black one a few weeks ago? I was in a different city, where 2 of our sons live and driving by, I saw it. Hubby stopped and even backed up for me but couldn't sit long enough to get a good shot.
The snowing needs to stop.
