Halifax, Nova Scotia...on the side of a building as we walked to the Citadel

In June we travelled by rail from Vancouver (British Columbia) to Montreal (Quebec) where we spent five nights. We then took an overnight train to Moncton (New Brunswick). Next we drove to Prince Edward Island, Cape Breton (Nova Scotia), and flew home from Halifax.

Fine by me, call me whatever you like Faye as long as its 'not late for dinner!' ( • ͜ʖ • )

gemstone

I'll stick with fragile, iridescent, and perfection...Bubble...'cause I like the sound of it...like murmur...and pickle! LOL OOO (They don't really look like bubbles, do they? LOL)

Bubble

I have such a long list of names Faye, and yours is already on it, glad you reminded me.
Most people call me Bub or Bubs ( • ͜ʖ • )

gemstone

Wonder if it was...this was above a parking lot and really brightened up a rather dull area. However, I preferred the goldfish done down on the waterfront. Unfortunately, those change quite frequently and can only be saved in pictures. Thank you for popping by, Bubble. BTW, I'm Faye. 🙂❤️🙂

Very bright and funnily enough I posted one today called Doodle that could have been done by the same artist. Thanks Gem. ( • ͜ʖ • )

Halifax being the third largest harbour in the world, Jill, I can understand the fish, octopus, and heron...but I don't understand how all the candies fit in...unless the artist was thinking of salt water taffy! LOL ;DDD

I would not support street art in France, Andie...but Canada and the USA have a lot of run down areas in our cities that really benefit from it...and many locals take pride in it. We used to have one building in Vancouver...about 8 stories high that had orcas leaping above the water. It was wonderful!!! :)))

Nice colours and design .A very good idea to brighten dull areas with them and making them more attractive.I am not keen on graffiti but street art can be a plus .♥☺♥☺♥

Such an interesting mix of subject matter in this world o art. Definitely eye-catching. Thanks Faye

It really brightened the neighbourhood up, Suzy. It was one of those "in between" streets...older buildings, not overly active businesses, the new busy waterfront below and another big tourist draw up the hill. It also probably inhibits graffiti.
No yard work for us any more...but just finished exercising. ❤️❤️❤️

I was wondering how this one especially might turn out in the blender, Ardy...could probably get nine different ones that show no relationship whatsoever! LOL ;DDD

They are on buildings here and there, Ella...but not too many so that it's not over done. It is like making a new discovery when you come upon one! ;)))

EllaMB

Very good artist. So, are the paintings along a row of buildings or just on various buildings around town? Great attraction to draw people to shop there.

Beautiful and strange, Faye. Adding this to my folder. Thanks. ♥♥

pumpkinhead

Such detail and color. To use the side of buildings as an easel is a wonderful thing.
Thank you, Faye! ♥♥♥

gogogo

Outdoor artwork can be helpful that way!

gemstone

It certainly brightened up a "down in the dumps" area, Pam. ;DDD

Love this artwork, Faye! So glad you decided to share it, thanks. (✬‿✬)

Thank you, lela. ❤️❤️❤️

lelabugosi

Another great one!

You're very welcome, lefty...it was a great trip, and the people in the Maritimes are so open and welcoming they leave you "wanting to return"! If you look at my puzzles from yesterday, there is another painting from a wall along the boardwalk that was sooo good. I can only encourage to go back! Have fun! Faye ;DDD

Thank you, gvalentiine. The next time you visit Vancouver, let me know and we can meet up for a cup of coffee or a glass of wine... Faye :)))

Wow, this is an exquisite piece of art, how smart of you to capture it in a photo and share it with us. I love Canada been to Toronto and Vancouver, but your train ride sounds like the way to go. My dad did that and loved it!

lefty50

If your photos are any clue, it looks like you had a wonderful trip. Thanks for sharing them. I took a similar hike in Halifax a couple of years ago, but don't remember seeing this bit of art. I'll have to go back.
