Yes, a great breakthrough with the new formula - we saw the wonderful documentary on the Sheldricks and their vital elephant sanctuary - made us feel so good to see their dedication - so sad that Ms Sheldrick has died - but their work goes on. No 1 on my bucket list is to meet a baby elephant and be allowed to cuddle it, maybe one day - thanks Evangelina :-)))

DSWT have some years ago now developed a replacement colostrum for new born eles. It was developed in Lucerne and is used to feed tiny babies and they can thrive on it. Before this, DSWT was unable to keep the very young babies alive but now they can with this milk replacement that is unlike any other mammal milk.

I know her keepers will take good care of her - they are dedicated, but its hard rearing a very tiny elephant - keeping my fingers x - thanks Evangelina with the beautiful name :-)
